The United Nations Correspondents Association's 60th Anniversary Celebration

 

The Executive Committee cordially invites you to a reception in honor of celebrating The 60th anniversary of the UN Correspondents Association!

When: Thursday June 12, 2008, from 5 pm to 8 pm,
Where: The UNCA Club, Room 326, UN headquarters, New York.

EXTRA!!! The New 2008 UNCA Directory will also be launched during the evening.

Generations of journalists have covered the UN since its establishment in 1945. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the adoption of UNCA Constitution by a group of journalists who met in Lake Success, New York, and voted to adopt the document on June 29, 1948.

There are today more than 200 journalists working at UN headquarters, representing major news agencies, newspapers, television and broadcast networks.

The beat goes on.
